Regular contestr, between the two countries were first suggested by the well-known Australian skier, T. W. Mitchell but it was n?t until la~t year that the first contest was held at Mount Ruapehu. Australia won on points, but the individual performances of the New Zealanders showed that the standard of ski-ing in the Dominion is as high as that across the Tasman. The Ski' Council of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand has selected the following team to visit Australia:— Men—B. MacMillan, B. Murphy, A. Wigley, and H. Wigley. Women—Mrs A. B. Edwardes, Miss J. Beale, Miss J. Murphy, and Miss P. Murphy.
