AUCKLAND. July 5.
The second ski-ing contest between Australia and New Zealand is to be held on the slopes of Mount Ko<riusko in the Australian Alps, early in Septemb3v, and tho Dominion team, which wil l bo the first to cross the Tasman. will 'eave for Sydney at the be'' ; nning of tho m^nth. Regular contestr, between the two countries were first suggested by the well-known Australian skier, T. W. Mitchell but it was n?t until la~t year that the first contest was held at Mount Ruapehu. Australia won on points, but the individual performances of the New Zealanders showed that the standard of ski-ing in the Dominion is as high as that across the Tasman. The Ski' Council of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand has selected the following team to visit Australia:— Men—B. MacMillan, B. Murphy, A. Wigley, and H. Wigley. Women—Mrs A. B. Edwardes, Miss J. Beale, Miss J. Murphy, and Miss P. Murphy.
An extra man may be added to the team later. The manager will be Mr E. C. A. Ferrier.
