JACK-O'-LANTERN LEADERS

two weeks we have a club paper lor our members. The paper tells the members how many things hav,e been made, and who made them. The articles made or given to the club total 38. We still have »""»r:" -more to make. —ALISON KYLE (Club Reporter). Gay Chums, Woodend

Club leader and "Press" reporter, Valerie Barker, writes: —

'The Gay Chums are well on their way with work for the Mission. Our box is slowly being filled with knitted articles for boys arid girls, and the club grandmother, Mrs Eder, is beginning to make pants.. "Mother had a shopping clay for the club at the beginning of this year, buying a large parcel of wool, and she has made several trips to town since then to buy more, but, unfortunately, there is nothing left, and our purse is feeling decidedly and suspiciously light. "We have begun dressing the Peaca Doll. Her underclothes are being knitted with fine wool; her cress is a delicate blue. She is to fcave a blue coat and hat of cloth—ft darker shade of blue than her dress. All her clothes are to be made of New Zealand materials only. She will be a real Miss New Zealand when we have finished lier.

"At our meetings.-which are be- ] Ing held at our home once a fortnight, we h?ve been working until afternoon tea time, when one'

two members. It made two little knitted rabbits and sent in. several other toys for the Christmas Mission. This year another member joined our ranks, and again we hope to help with the Christmas Mission. We are holding soon a bazaar with the Golden Blossom Club, and we think we will have a bookstall.

Cinematograph Club

The Cinematograph Club is formed of Marist Brothers' schoolboys. The object of the club .is to give movie picture shows to collect funds for "The Press Ship" Cholmondeley cot. and Christmas and Winter Missions. During the last week the officers were elected.
