My Pony
Ml have a little pony, He isn't very fat, '! But then he gets so much to do, ! He hasn't time for that. He's very fond of carrots, ' And doesn't he like bread? : And when he can't have that to eat He just eats chaff instead. ' One day I took him to the show ! And rode him in the ring, : And when the judge gave him a prize I was so proud of him.
As soon as I get back from school I catch him in the stable And ride him up and down the road, As long as I am able. I like my little pony, But I wish he would grow tall, For I grow taller every day I And soon he'll be too small. _ —'MATE BLUEBELL.'
