"THE PRESS" FREE INSURANCE

SCHEME RENEWED FOR TWELVE MONTHS

GENEROUS BENEFITS OFFERED TO READERS

"The Press" Free Accident Insurance scheme is again available to subscribers. Those who have already applied for registration under the scheme are covered pending the issue of fresh policies to take the place of those which expired on June 30, 1937. Those who have not registered may do so at once, and when their applications are received policies will be sent to them. This generous free insurance scheme, which is available to all registered subscribers to "The Press," provides for'payments of from £5 to £2OOO in cases of accidents, the amount depending on the extent of the injuries suffered and the manner in which they are received. Under the scheme ample provision is made not only for persons meeting with accidents while travelling in vehicles, hut also those suffering accidents in the home. In this latter class the amount of .insurance payable is up to £ 150.

A feature of the scheme is the automatic registration of children aged from six to 17 years, who are living with their parents, by the registration of their father or their mother. Husband and wife, too, are both covered by the same registration.

The remarkably wide scope of the insurance is indicated by the extremes of payment, £2OOO and £5. and the extremes of injuries suffered in accidents, from death to a broken limb.

Excepting the provisions for accidents to children of registered readers, no restriction is placed on the registration of any readers between the ages of 17 and 70 years. Those between the ages of six and 17 are automatically insured by the registration of one or other of their parents if they are living with them.

Thousands of readers have been registered under this scheme in past years, and doubtless thousands more will be registered, for there is no cost to the regular reader, who has only to apply lor registration.
