GUARANTEED PRICE TO COOK ISLAND GROWERS (PIUSBS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 6. The first orange shipment under Government control was shipped by the Limerick from Rarotonga on May 21, The shipment consisted of 3500 cases from Mauke, and 5016 cases from Rarotonga. The growers will receive the guaranteed price of 2s 6d a case for the fruit alone. APPRECIATION IN SYDNEY SYDNEY, June 5. The modifications ot the restrictions I by New Zealand on Australian oranges are heartily welcomed by growers, particularly in New South Wales. Exporters express the opinion that shipments to New Zealand in a normal year will increase 30 per cent, and amount to 50.000 cases.
