TAXI CONDITIONS IN CITY
CONFERENCE WITH MINISTER PLANNED ' Conditions in the taxi industrv in Christchurch will again be discussed next week. The Minister for Transport (the Hon. R. Semple) will arrive from Wellington on Tuesday and in the morning he will meet the traffic committee of the Christchurch City Council at his own request. Another conference will be held on Tuesday evening. Representatives of city taxi organisations have been invited to meet the traffic committee, when the committee will hear evidence ° n . the table of fares as set out bv a City Council regulation. The committee will at the same time consider proposals which have alreadv been submitted to the City Council"
