ITALIAN ARMS STRENGTH
MUSSOLINI INTERVIEWED IN BRUSSELS "NOW IN POSITION TO RESIST ALL ATTACKS" (Received May 26, 9 p.m.) LONDON, May 25. The Brussels correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that Signor Mussolini in an interview with the newspaper "Le Vingtieme Siecle" is reported to have said that Italy in the Mediterranean was now in a position to resist all attacks. "And I am not the only one to know it," he added. Peace would be in danger, II Duce declared, so long as the Spanish problem was not settled. He said he intended to publish a list of Italian losses in Spain, "because we want our sacrifices for the defence of Europe against Communism to be known." 4
