THE AMERICA'S CUP English Challenge

The America's Cup, for which British yachtsmen have challenged time and again without success since it was won by the schooner America, in 1851, and taken across the Atlantic, will be competed for again this year, Mr T. O. M. Sopwith, who challenged with his Endeavour I in 1934, and was defeated by the American yacht Rainbow, has built a new yacht, Endeavour 11, with which he will race for the cup. It is a condition of the-race that the challenging yacht shall first of all be sailed across the Atlantic! as proof of its seaworthiness. When the two Endeavours were being sailed across the Atlantic this week, Endeavour I parted from her convoy and was thought lost, but later arrived safely at Newporty
