ALLEGED IRISH DESERTER FATALLY SHOT
«. ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE FROM HOME (Received May 5, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 4. Thomas Arbuckle, an alleged deserter from the Royal Irish Fusiliers, leaving his home in Ardilea street. Belfast, which police and soldiers were watching, tried to escape, but was shot in a leg and died.
