WOOLLEN AND HOSIERY WORKERS
DISPUTE REFERRED TO COURT OP ARBITRATION (PBZSS ASSOCIATION TEUBGBAM.) WELLINGTON, May 5. No agreement was reached in Conciliation Council to-day, when negotiations for a new award in the woollen and hosiery manufacturing industries were resumed. Minor points only were settled, the major issues being referred to the Court of Arbitration "Both sides naturally are anxious to take the case to the court as soon as possible," said the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr M. J. Reardon), at the conclusion of the oroceedings, "but because of the number of unsettled disputes down for hearing and as there is no Judge yet available, it is difficult to say when a fixture will be obtained."
