CHURCH REDEDICATION AT OXFORD
The rededication of the Oxford Methodist Church and opening of the new Sunday school buildings were held on Saturday afternoon. The old vestry has been removed, and in its place a building has been erected which provides two classroom? and a kitchen. The church has been 'repaired and painted, and a now fence has -been erected. • The dedicatory' • service was conducted, by the Rev.- Clarence Eaton, -chairman ol tho district. Afternoon tea was served, after which the gathering assembled in' the church, when the Rev. A., Liversedge presided, and referred to the steps taken to secure the new building. All contributions had been' voluntary, and liabilities had been met up to date. Mr E. A. Woodfield, the treasurer, read the financial statement, and short congratulatory addresses ware given by Mr P. Fisher -(chairman of the County Council); tha Rev. C. Eaton, the Rev, ;J. H. Malcolm (a former home missionary in the district), and by Mr J. Horrell (representing the Ohoka circuit and the HorrelviJle Church), and by Mrs D. Hawke.
