ECONOMY IN GERMAN RESTAURANTS
—♦ MAMMOTH MENUS PROHIBITED LONDON, April 28. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" states that, as part of the Government's campaign to conserve food supplies, restaurant proprietors have been informed that, from May 1, they will be prohibited from preparing mammoth menus. Table d'hote meals will be limited to three courses made up of hors d'oeuvres, 10 varieties of stews, 10 varieties of steaks, and six varieties of omelettes. There will be no restriction on sausages.
