SHORT-WAVE WIRELESS AFFECTED
ELECTRICAL DISTURBANCES IN LAST WEEK (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) WELLINGTON. April 29. During the last week or 10 days, coinciding with the appearance of a large group of active sunspots, electrical conditions and atmosphere have been abnormal and much disturbed, with a marked adverse effect on shortwave wireless. An Aurora Austfalis display last night a culmination possibly of these disturbed conditions, does not appear to have made conditions any worse than they have been, static being much the same as during the last few days. Data about the present electrical disturbances are being collected by those engaged in radio research.
