WORKERS REFUSE INCREASED WAGES OFFER
' ( . WELLINGTON, April 21. What the Commissioner (Mr M. F. Reardon) called one of the most difficult cases heard in Conciliation Council concluded to-day, when the major questions in the New Zealand chemists' dispute were the Arbitration Court.
The employers offered without prejudice the following increased rates on the original offer:—Registered assistants, £5 12s 6d; qualified assistants; £5 2s 6d; unqualified assistants, £4 10s 6d; second-year improvers, £3 10s; first-year, £3; with a fortnight's annual holiday.
