OBITUARY

MR CHARLES E. TUSTIN \ The death occurred suddenly last Tuesday afternoon of Mr Charles E. Tustln, a well-known and respected resident of Christchurch. He was the youngest son of the late Mr William Tustin, an early settler in Wellington, and was born in Wellington in 1807. He came to Christchurch about 30 years ago, and until his retirement live years ago, was for many years in charge of the industrial section of the Australian Mutual Provident Society in the Canterbury district. He was an active member of the Linwood , Bowling Club, and a former president. He was also a vice-president of the Christchurch branch of the Wellington College Old Boys’ Association. He leaves a widow and a daughter, Mrs O.’ Dryder, of Wellington. The funeral service at the house and at the Bromley cemetery was conducted by the Rev, W. J. Hands, and was attended by many members of the Linwood Bowling Club and other bowling clubs, members of the Automobile Association and of the Wellington College Old Boys' Association, and other associates, who gathered to pay their last respects. The pall-bearers were Messrs Petrie, Rowntree, Redpath, Ormandy, Burson, and Phillips. Many wreaths and messages of sympathy from all parts of the Dominion were sent.
