OLD AGE PENSIONS FOR WORKERS

BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S BILL

LONDON, March 23,

A Government bill designed to provide old age pensions for "blackcoat" workers and others has been published. Its benefits are extended to men earning up to £4OO a year and women earning up to £250, such as shopkeepers, small farmers, ministers, clerks, dressmakers, and music teachers, whose weekly contributions will be supplemented by the State.

The bill also provides for widows' and orphans' pensions.
