IMPROVING FARM PRODUCTION

ELABORATE PLANS PROPOSED

IN GERMANY

BERLIN, March 23,

Elaborate plans, designed to increase farm production, were announced by General Goering in m broadcast to which farmers throughout Germany listened. He said: "Henceforth we will treat desertion of the land as an .evasion of responsibility. New measures are for the benefit of the nation, not the individual." . The chief provisions*provide for first, the supercession of incompetent farmers by State-appointed managers, second, a reduction in the price of fertilisers, and third, £16,000,000 to be devoted to farm improvements.
