SAVAGERY OF REPRISALS
IN ABYSSINIA
ITALIANS REPORTED TO HAVE KILLED 6000 NATIVES \ . LONDON, March 2. The' Paris qqrrespondent of "The. Times" states that dreadful details of the Italian reprisals at Addis Ababa after the attempted assassina- , lion of Marshal,, Graziani are be- • lieved to ,be -contained in reports which are now ,in the possession of the British . and French Foreign Offices.
The reprisals'-were , carried out with a savagery, l aln.ost beyond description. For three days after the attempt, every able-bodied Italian in Addis Ababa appears to have been encouraged to slaughter natives to his heart's- content with any weapon m his taste. It is estimated that those killed number 6000.
