RICHMOND HILL CLUB NEW OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR Mr V. E. Hamilton presided at the twenty-seventh annual meeting of the Richmond Hill Golf Club, held last evening In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman said that there was a surplus of £3l, compared with £l9 the previous year. The course was expected to be in excellent order for the opening of the season. The liabilities had been considerably reduced, and during the coming year the balance owing on the water-supply installation would be wiped out. He paid a tribute to the retiring officers, particularly to tne retiring secretary (Mr R. H. T. Hamilton), who had now been elected captain. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr V. E. Hamilton; vice-presidents, Messrs F. J. Glackin, F. J. Pender, and J. S. B. Bruges; captain, Mr R. H. T. Hamilton; secretary, Mr B. G. Donovan; treasurer, Mr J. R. Moody; committee, Messrs E. T. Salvesen, C F. Jones, R. D. Glackin, J. L. Gant, G. J. McKay, and F. W. Brandt; auditors, Messrs F. J. Glackin, jun., and H. D. Graham. The possibility of arranging matches for week-end women on Saturdays was discussed, and it was moved as a recommendation to the incoming committee that two Saturdays or more be given to the women for their matches. At a special general meeting held after the annual meeting the following notice of motion was considered: (a) That the word "fourteen" be deleted and the word "seven" substituted in Rule 10, paragraph 3; (b) that the word "fourteen" be deleted and the word "seven" substituted in Rule 24, paragraph 1. The effect of the alteration was to reduce the notice necessary to members of annual and special meetings from 14 days to seven days/
