Debentures Auckland Harbour Board 4.1 per cent, debentures, due 1955, changed hands at £lO4 17s 6d. • Commercial Bank of Australia moved up to 19s lOd, and there were further sellers at that price, buyers at 19s 9d —the preference were firmer on buyers' offers, £9 6s. E. ? S. and A. Bank were easier at £6 5s 6d, market closing 6d either way. National Bank of Australasia £5 paid had business at £7 12s 9d, and more were wanted at £7 12s 6d. National of New Zealand were steady at 635, closing quotations 3d on either side. Bank of New South Wales were easier with sellers at £35 10s. Union Banks had business at £lO 12s 6d. Goldsbrough, Morts were easier at 38s 4d and 38s 3d, and there were further sellers at 38s sd, buyers at 38s. N.Z. Refrigerating fully paid were firm with sellers and business at 20s 9d, buyers at 20s Cd. Buyers of Westport Coal raised their bids to 23s 9d without attracting sellers. Staples Brewery were firmer on buyers' offers, 41s. Tooths Brewery shares were weaker at 56s 3d, 56s 4d and 565, market closing 56s 3d buyers, 56s 7d sellers. Miscellaneous British Tobaccos dropped to 50s 6d, and more were offered at 50s Bd, buyers at 50s 3d. Broken Hill Proprietary had dealings at 81s, 81s 4d and 81s 6d. Dunlop Perdriau Rubbers were steady with buyers and dealings at 18s 9d. Electrolytic Zinc ordinary were weaker with dealings at 55s and 54s 9d, and further sellers at 54s lid, buyers at 54s 9d. A late sale of G. J. Coles on Tuesday was reported at 96s 9d—transactions yesterday were at 96s 6d, with further buyers at 96s 9d, sellers at 97s Id. Hume Pipe (Australian) advanced to 21s Bd, market closing Id 'either way. Woolworths (N.Z.) ordinary were firm at £7 3s 6d. Mining Mossy Creek had dealings at Is 2d, closing quotations Jd either wa| Wairnurnu Sluicing were fractionally weaker at lid and ll£d and these were buyers' and sellers' closing quotations respectively. Mount Lyells changed hands at 425, 41s lid, and 42s 3d, closing quotations 41s lid buyers, 42s sellers. Mount Morgans were firm at 17s Ojid and 17s Id, buyers staying in at the higher figure; sellers at 17s IJd. Unlisted Stocks Alloy Steel (Australia) remained unaltered at 235. Woolworths (Sydney) ordinary were steady with sellers and dealings at £8 16s. Woolworths (Western Australia) were firm with sellers and dealings at £7 7s 6d.
