DEATH OF OPERA SINGER

LAWRENCE TIBBETT NOT HELD

TO BLAME

NEW YORK, January 28. An autopsy disclosed that Sterzini, the opera singer, who died after being stabbed when a dagger clipped from Lawrence Tibbett's hand at a rehearsal, died of heart disease. Tibbett was absolved from all responsibility. The medical examiner expressed the belief that the anaesthetic was probably responsible for the heart attack, although Sterzini's heart had been diseased for a long time.
