STANLEY McKAY'S "GAIETIES"
"ONE GLAMOROUS NIGuT"
To-night is the last occasion on which the current revue, "Laugh, Town Laugh" is to be staged in Christchurch, as the "Gaieties" usual weekly change of programme is listed for Friday. The next and fourth production. "One Glamorous Night," is to have its premiere to-morrow night. That firm favourite, Joe Lawman, has wonderful opportunities in "The Gangsters," "Joe's Bet," "The Family Picture Frame," "The Grand Hotel," and "Poisoned Turkey," a budget of new and laughable sketches. Miss Stella Lamond will introduce a further series of songs and monologues, grave and gay. The talented Scots comedian, Elton Black, has much to do in the new show, as also has that excellent character actor, Geo. Corelli. An innovation in to-morrow's programme is a number of campfire melodies by the Sundowners, led by Elton Black. The next matinee is to be given on Saturday next at 2.30 p.m.
