The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre, M.L.C., of Nelson, arrived from the north by the steamer express yesterday morning. Mr T. H. McCombs, M.P., returned from the north by the steamer express yesterday morning. Mr M. W. W. Cummins, supervisor of the parcels branch, Wellington, has been elected unopposed as the Dominion service representative on the Post and Telegraph Department Promotion Board. Mr M. W. Simes, who has been in Australia, returned yesterday by the steamer express. Mr J. Morling, who has been appointed Chief Judge in Western Samoa, was sworn in as a stipendiary magistrate yesterday by Mr J. H.' Luxford, S.M., who formerly held the position to which Mr Morling has' been appointed. Mr Morling will assist on the bench at Wellington until his departure for Samoa.—Press Association.
