The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre, M.L.C., of Nelson, arrived from the north by the steamer express yesterday morning. Mr T. H. McCombs, M.P., returned from the north by the steamer express yesterday morning. Morling, who has been appointed Chief Judge in Western Samoa, was sworn in as a stipendiary magistrate yesterday by Mr J. H.' Luxford, S.M., who formerly held the position to which Mr Morling has' been appointed. Mr Morling will assist on the bench at Wellington until his departure for Samoa.—Press Association.
