THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL

VISIT TO AUCKLAND DELAYED (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.; WELLINGTON, January 17. Because of Lady Galway’s recent accident, it is unlikely that their Excellencies will go into residence at Auckland for several weeks, and Lord Galway has therefore decided, though with great regret, that the children’s party which was to have been held during February will be postponed till some future date. The debutantes’ ball at Auckland is likely to be abandoned, as it is unlikely that they will be in Auckland about the time of the Coronation. It is their Excellencies’ intention to' give during March a large garden party, at which they will receive the young ladies who were to have been presented at the ball. The date selected is March 18.
