REASON FOR DISCHARGES MAY HAVE TO BE GIVEN (Received January 15, 7.30 p.m.,) LONDON, January"l 4. The v "Daily Mail" says it is understood that a fifth man has been discharged from the Devonport dockyard at the instance of the Admiralty. • ' , The four men dismissed earlier have applied for unemployment benefit to" the Plymouth labour exchange, officials of which, in accordance with their routine, have written to the Admiralty for an explanation of the dismissals. The reason must be communicated to the men if its nature precludes them from obtaining benefit, so that they may be able'to appeal to the court for referees.
