EASTERN PACT NOW UNLIKELY
TURKISH NEGOTIATIONS' WITH IRAN FAIL (Received January 12, 5.5 p.m.) ISTANBUL, January 11. The Turkish mission has left Teheran, having failed to reach an understanding with the Iranian Government on outstanding differences. This is regarded as killing the chances of the proposed pact between Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
