PORT OF GREYMOUTH fTHE PEESS Special Service.) GREYMOUTH,. January 12. Waimea is expected to sail to-night with coal and timber for Picton. She will return from Picton on Saturday to load a cargo of timber for Port Waikato. Rata is expected to leave Wellington tomorrow with general cargo for Westport and Greymouth. After part loading at Westport she Will complete loading at Greymouth with coal and posts for Nelson and Wanganui. Kaimiro had completed loading for Westport and Auckland in time for this morning's tide, but as the bar was not work* able she could not sail. She will' probably sail on this evening's tide. Karepo is loading for Wellington and will sail to-morrow. Kalingo is expected' to-morrow night with cargo from. Australian ports, and after discharge will sail for Newcastle. Omana is expected to recommission at Auckland this week, and on completion will proceed to Greymouth direct. She is due on Monday, January 18, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. She will complete loading at Bruce Bay. Kauri is expected on Monday next from Timaru to load for Miramar and Wellington. Karu is exoected to-morrow from Wellington to lift her cargo of timber for Petone and Miramar, as fixed last week. James Cook is due on Friday from Dun--1 edin to load timber for Sydney. WKSTPORT, January 12. Te Aroha is expected to leave Wellington at 6 p.m. to-day for Westport. Kaitoa is an expected arrival from Nelson on Friday to load for Motueka. Rata loads at Wellington on Thursday for Westport and Greymouth. Karu, coal laden, sailed last evening for Wellington. Kaimai completes loading to-day and sails at 9 p.m. for Lyttelton. Pooita arrived from Wellington last night, and is loading to-day with coal for Napier and Wellington, sailing on to-mor-row morning's tide. Kartigi is due to arrive from Wellington about 8 p.m. to-day to load with coal, timber, and general cargo for Wellington and Miramar.
Kaimiro is due from Greymouth to-mor-row morning to complete for Auckland. High water at Westport to-morrow, 10.36 a.m. and 11 p.m. (standard time).
MAUI POMARE ARRIVES
The Maui Pomare, which arrived in the .-stream at Lyttelton on Monday night from Apia and Niue, berthed yesterday -morning to discharge bananas, cocoa-beans, and general cargo from Apia. The vessel brought no cargo from Niue. Leaving Apia on January 1, the Maui Pomare arrived at Niue on January 3, but being unable to work there, resumed her voyage and after a fine-weather trip arrived at Lyttelton. The vessel sailed last night for Wellington, and is to leave that port next Tuesday for Apia and Niue The following passengers arrived by the Maui Pomare:—The Acting-Commissionei of Western Samoa, Mr, A. C. Turnbull, Mrs Turnbull, and Miss R. Turnbull, Mesdames G. Horn. W. D. Stewart. E. J. Hickin Messrs E. J, Hickin, W. ,B. Fearon, R. D Head, and Master Hickin.
