The visit of Mr Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, will be informal,, according to the State Department, which has arranged that he bn received by Mr Roosevelt and Mr Cordell Hull (Secretary of State). Informed circles expressed. doubt that Mr Runciman's mission is to lay the basis of the negotiation •of a reciprocal trade agreement between the United States and Britain, although there have been reports to that effect.
