NEW CREW ENGAGED FOR KAIKORAI
♦ STEAMER TO LEAVE TO-DAY FOR NAPIER (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, December 29. It is expected that the Kaikorai, the Union Steam Ship Company's steamer, which has been held up since Thursday because of the refusal of the seamen and. firemen to take her to sea, will leave to-morrow afternoon for Napier. A new crew was engaged to-day and will sign on to-morrow. It is understood that a number of seamen and firemen who were not in favour of the forecastle's majority decision last Thursday are among the hands engaged to-day. _
