The possibility of the United | States facing the worst influenzal and pneumonia epidemic since 1918 is seen by the health authorities, who have issued warnings advising precautions. Three hundred and sixteen cases were reported in Chicago within 48 hours. Of this total 66 are suffering from influenza. . An increase in cases is reported in New York, but the outbreak has not reached the epidemic stage.
