LYTTELTON NEWS
FINER WEATHER After a night of heavy rain, accompanied by a cold south-westerly wind, yesterday morning broke fine, with bright sunshine, although the air was still cold. Campers and yachtsmen who have been spending the holidays about the harbour started to move about more freely than the recent wet weather had permitted. During the day, many of them came into Lyttelton to buy stores, and others were occupied in drying out tents; sails, and bedding in their temporary homes. Personal Mr and Mrs T. A. Mahar, Miss Hilary Mahar, and Mr and Mrs P. .Bergman are spending a holiday at Marlborough Sounds.
