NEGOTIATIONS AGAIN BREAK DOWN I'ROPOSED ROSS-CARROLL BOUT UNITED PRBSS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIOH'I.) SYDNEY, December 29. The "Sun" says negotiations for a match between the American, Barney Ross, and the Australian, Jack Carroll, for the welter-weight championship of the world, have again broken down through the refusal of the promoter, Mr Charles Lucas, of Sydney, to lodge the amount of the guarantee demanded by Ross's manager with an American bank. Mr Lucas is quite prepared to lodge the guarantee with an Australian bank.
