The game resulted in a win for the former by 42 runs. Monarch made 83 (R. Black 32 and H. Bowden 22 being the highest scorers). Bowling for Fairbairn, Wrights, Hardie took six wickets for 19 runs and G. Brown two for 20. Fairbairn Wrights made 41. Bowling for Monarch, P. Ellis took six wickets for 14 runs and C. Schlutz four for 22.
