CRICKET AT DENNISTON A close contest between the Hone Heke (Denniston) and Rirchfield cricket teams was seen at Denniston. The visitors’ first innings realised 74 runs, and the score included a sound batting display by R. Griffiths, who made 45. P. Griffiths (145 was the only otfier player to reach dPHhle figures. H one Heke made'a poor stand ' against the Bircfifield bowlers in their first innings, the total fieing 41 runs. C- Webster (12) was top scorer.
