“WORSE THAN THE EVIL”
' ♦ COMMUNISM CONDEMNED LONDON, December 13. A joint pastoral letter from the Hierarchy of England and Wales, read in all Roman Catholic churches, states that, while protesting against the injustices of the present system of industrial capitalism, the church condemns communism, which remedy is worse than the evil. “There can be no compromise between Catholicism and communism,” the letter states.
