* DAMAGES CLAIMED FROM MOTOR COMPANY (PRESS ASSOCUTIOfT TELEGRAM./ WELLINGTON. December 7. An announcement tnat a settlement had been reached was made by counsel in a Supreme Court case in which P. Graham and Son, Ltd., contractors, of Christchurch, claimed damages from the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, Ltd., for alleged wrongful termination of a contract. Mr H. J. V. James, for the Ford Company, said that he was glad to inform the court that since the adjournment of the case the plaintiff company had approached them with a view to obtaining a settlement, and no difficulty had been found in arriving at one mutually satisfactory. Mr E. P. Hay, for the plaintiffs, agreed that they had obtained a fair and reasonable settlement of the claim, and wished to withdraw unreservedly all the statements and imputations that had been made against the Ford Company of New Zealand in the dispute, the settlement of which had been conducted in an entirely friendly manner.
