SHIPBUILDING BOOM

BUSY YEAR ON THE CLYDE (nitm.sn OFFICIAL IV! RF.LF.SS.) RUGBY, November 28. The Clyde shipbuilding industry is having the best year since 1930. With a month still to run, 1936 has already exceeded the tonnage output of any year since the boom period of 1927-30. Ninety-two vessels, a total of 283,622 tons, have been launched. During November eight ships, of 38,640 tons, were water-borne, and the 300,000-ton mark will easily be exceeded this year.
