SHIRLEY METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Shirley Methodist Sunday School anniversary was celebrated on Sunday, the preachers for the day being the Rev. H. Thornley (morning), the Rev. W. A. Burley (afternoon), and the Rev. F. Gardner Brown (evening). Scripture readings were given by Norma Turner, Howard Farr, Desmond Clark, Jack McAuley, and Brian Salkeld, a solo by Desmond Clark, and a duet by Enid Robertson and Kathleen Jessop. At each service the Sunday school scholars, assisted by tUe choir under the leadership of Mr W. J. Salkeld, sang hymns and choruses. Miss Dorothy Sharpe played the piano and Dr. N. Sharpe the organ.
