Magistrate’s Court to being intoxicated while in charge of a car in Kar angahape road yesterday. Sub-Inspector Fox said that the accused had four previous convictions. He was a married man with a family, and was on sustenance. In sentencing Chalmers to three months’ imprisonment, cancelling his "cense, and prohibiting him from obtaining another for three years, the magistrate. Mr Wyvern Wilson, said “tat the Transport Department should have a black list upon which the names of such men could be placed, together with descriptions for the information of local bodies so that they Could not get further licenses. The' •ccused had a shocking record. It was mute obvious that fines and suspen•*oo of the license wore of no use.
