Good yachting weather, with a fresh north-easterly breeze, prevailed at Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon, when the Canterbury Yacht and Motor-Boat Club held races for five classes. Results were: — A Class, started at 2.40 p.m.—Marangl (R. Boulton). Bmin, 4.20.28 p.m., 1; Pastime (A. Miller), scr, 4.19.15, 2; lolanthe (C. Allen), 18mm, 3. There were six starters. B Class, started at 2.35 p.m.—Malay 1 1, Treleaven), Bmin, 4.27.25, 1; Hakari (I. Newton), 6min, 4.28.20, 2; Snark (E. O. Sinclair), 6min, 4.30.55, 3. Five boats started. X Class, started at 2.25 p.m.—Colleen (W. Tissiman), scr, 4.21.20, 1; Mahihi IN. Merrifleld), 3min, 4.25.25, 2; Avenger (R. Priddy), scr, 4.22.52, 3. Six started. I Class, started at 2.30 p.m.—Lolita (J. Evans), 4min 3.49.4, 1; AJona (H. Wells), 4imin, 3.50,55, 2; Muratai (N. Payne), 2min, 3.50.56, 3. There were 12 starters in this race. D and Z Classes, started 2.45 p.m— Wanaka (F. I. Sutton), scr. 3.48.45, 1: Echo (B. Masson), 4min, 3.54.5, 2; Sandy (L. Beaumont), 4min, 3.54,24, 3. Eight boats started.
