The Marlborough County Council was advised this morning by the Public Works Department that it was taking over k, control of the Blen-heim-Picton, Blenheim-Dashwood, and the Blenheim-Rai Saddle main highas from November. 1, but that in the meantime the county was to continue its, supervision. The engineer and the machinery committee were instructed to go into the disposing to the board of machinery which would not now be required by the council, and also to report on what employees were to be transferred. It was decided to investigate the effect the transfer of men would have on the council's superannuation scheme.
