"PRESS SHIP" CONCERT

RADIANT HALL THIS EVENING There are many who, looking for a cheerful entertainment to conclude Carnival Week suitably, will turn to the Radiant Hall this evening, where, in addition to the enjoyment of the programme, they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they are contributing to a good cause. The concert that will be staged is in aid of The Press Ship” Christmas Mission fund, and the Cholmonaeley Home “Press Ship” cot. The organisers are ail members of the Young Helpers’ Club, one of the groups connected with Lady Gay’s organisation, and are all well known on the concert platform m Christchurch. They have also the benefit of the help of Mrs Enid Frye, well known as a # producer, and Miss Ivy Fowler, whose pupils will give some of their popular dances. Included in the programme, which is of an unusually high order for a children’s entertainment, are Beryl £>aggs, Pat Sorrel, Joan Masters, Betty and Jack Robb, Betty Burt, and Dorothy Shah. Olga Flint will give an acrobatic dance, and Joan Sorrel. Enid Curtis, and Dulcie Curtis an instrumental item. The pupils of Mrs Ftye will be seen in “Powder Puff,” and the prize-winning entertainment, “The Wonderful Inn.” Seats may be reserved at The Press” office (Lady Gay’s room) till 12 noon to-day.
