ABOLITION OF REICHSTAG

NEW CONSTITUTION FOR GERMANY “SPECTACULAR EVENT” FOR NEXT YEAR (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (Received November 13, 12.50 a.m.) LONDON, November 12. The Paris correspondent of the “News-Chronicle” says that reports from Berlin suggest that the proclamation of a new constitution will be Germany’s “spectacular event” for 1937, unless something more thrilling presents itself in the meantime. Herr Hitler, it is stated, will devote less time to executive matters, assuming a position resembling that of a reigning sovereign. General Goering will be appointed ViceChancellbr and President of the Directorate of Three, who will control foreign affairs, finance, and internal affairs. Herr von Ribbentrop is being considered for tlie Foreign Ministry, and Herr Kepler Dr. Schacht’s rival, for the financial post. The' Reichstag will be abolished and replaced by a Senate of 200, nominated by Herr Hitler.
