FRANCE MAY TAKE INITIATIVE (BKITISB OFFICIAL WIBELKSS.) RUGBY, October 3. M. Leon Blum (Prime Minister of France) arrived at Geneva and began a series of private talks at a luncheon which he- gave in honour of the British Foreign Minister (Mr R. A. Eden). Pans press reports anticipate that through the visit French initiative in favour of setting up a European economic and financial committee, along the lines suggested bv the late M. Briand, will take active form.
