Levvey, S,M., yesterday morning: Bridgewater was charged with going from house to house at Oamaru on November 1, 1935, offering shares for subscription or purchase in the Australasian Investment Corporation, Ltd., a company incorporated in New Zealand, to certain .members of the public, de-benture-holders in the Investment Ex-ecutive-Trust, Ltd. The ; charge was brought under the Companies Act, 1933. ' Mr R. A, Young; who appeared for informant parties, asked for a remand. In asking for bail for accused, Mr SLA. Lee said Bridgewater was a resident ot Christchurch arid had his business here, and had no intention of "leaving. He had occasionally been to Australia, hut had not been away for two years.
