INCREASING NUMBER OF CONTRIBUTORS I From Our Parliamentary Reporter.! WELLINGTON, August 18. The annual report of the Public Service Superannuation Board for the ye? ended March 31, 1936, which was presented to Parliament to-day, shows that the total number of public servants contributing to the fund at the end of the year was 19.199. Their annual salary earnings aggregated £4,946,468, and their annual contributions to the fund totalled £263,076. During the year 1760 new contributors joined the scheme. The report states that the total income for the year was £565,307, including members’ ordinary contributions amounting to contributions from the Government totalling £147,952, and • interest amounting to £151,599. Pensions paid during the year amounted to £494,988, the total outgoings for the year being The accumulated funds at the end of year were £2,934,239, and the total assets of the fund amounted to £3,028,433.
