U.S. REMOVES TARIFF BAR
♦ RESPONSE TO CESSATION OF GERMAN SUBSIDIES (Received August 16, 8.47 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 14. On notification from the German Government that subsidies oh products exported to America have been abrogated, the Treasury Department to-day removed the countervailing duties on German imports.
