ROSENBLOOM DRAWS WITH KELLY CROWD SHOWS DISPLEASURE (VKXTBO PRESS ABSOCIATXOH—OOPIRIOHT.) > (Received August 16, 6,30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 16. What is regarded as the biggest boxing brawl in years occurred last night at the West Melbourne Stadium when, before 10,000 spectators, the Sydney referee, Joe Wallis, declared the Maxie Rosenbloom and Leo Kelly fight a draw. The crowd repeatedly counted the men out. The fight was certainly a very tame affair, with rarely a decent blow and considerable clinching. It was quite unworthy of the standard of two outstanding boxers. What clean work there was was Rosenbloom’s. His slapping left was never out of Kelly’s face. Kelly’s only purple patch was the seventh round, when a vicious left connected with Bosenbloom’s chin and had him in a little trouble.
