MATUA ARRIVES AT AUCKLAND
8000 CASES OF FRUIT CARRIED
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.)
AUCKLAND, August 13. Looking like an ocean-going yacht rather than a merchantman, because of the fine lines, her white hull, and decorative bunting, the Union Steam Shin Company’s new motor-ship Matua, built for the Auckland and islands trade, arrived this morning from England. via Panama. The vessel called at Rarotonga and embarked two passengers. She loaded 5000 cases of oranges and 3000 cases of tomatoes. She will sail on August 27 for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji.
