TENDER FOR MAINS ACCEPTED WORK TO BEGIN SOON A tender from Hume Steel, Ltd., Lower Hutt, for the supply of watermains and fittings for the Cobden water supply scheme was accepted at a special meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council yesterday. The Mayor, Mr W. Meldrum* presided. Cr. J. B. Kent said that he supposed that the scheme would be speeded up as much as possible. The Mayor said that no time would be lost now.
